A Hundred Fellow Adventurers

It occurs to me that I now have 100 followers on The Blog That Time Forgot.  I'm absolutely thrilled that so many think enough of my blog to follow it, even if it only took a click.  I deeply appreciate it, and my thanks to everyone who's commented, read, or otherwise had a little jaunt around this little pocket of the aether.

Thanks!

  1. Way to go, Al! Onward to 200!

What with a third Transformers movie on the horizon, as well as Momo the Barbarian (cue Dreyfus-like eye twitch,) I'm sure you'll make it long before year's end.

    Cheers, Tex!

Honestly, I'm one of those weird people who thinks the first live-action film was almost as bad as the second. There are so many things that bother me about it. No doubt Dark of the Moon will give us all new reasons to hyperventilate.

Oh dear, I meant "news and events."

  3. you know, you shoundt force yourself to watch it though if you know its gonna competely turn you off.I survived the first one (I remember being a kid going to see the animated movie in theatres and getting all emotional when prime bit the big one, used to love transformers)but that second one was as if Ed Wood made it.LIke most everything else coming out transformers 3 is not a movie I care about...Al I just watched Valhalla Rising and I'm curious if you had seen it and what your thoughts were...I want to recommend it as it is beautifully filmed and well acted(I think), but there it seems longer than it is and I almost get the impression that the filmakers have a disdain for the genre, as there are little to no heroic or redeeming qualities to the characters.I wanted to enjoy it,but it completely neutralizes me as a guy who enjoys his movies.never had this problem...Ultimately ,I don't like it,but I feel forced to recommend it.-mario

Weirdly, I enjoy the Transformers films. Greatly. But at the same time, there are parts which infuriate me. It's a curious thing.

I haven't, but I was thinking of it, just since it's a Viking movie.

    EXCELSIOR!

  7. Thank you, Al. Although you do not yet have near enough to defend Sparta at the Hot Gates, I`m happy to be part of the 100.

Maybe not Thermopylae, but I think we can hold the back alley at Kempock Street on a Saturday night!
